Overview
RentBase is a US-based Rental Leads CRM and Listings Database automating the relationship between landlords, agents, and renters. I joined as a Senior Full-Stack Engineer in a lean three-person core team, working in a tight feedback loop with the CEO — a former Lead at Zillow. I owned the entire frontend and contributed significantly to backend APIs and third-party integrations.
The Challenge
With a three-person team and no QA engineer, manual testing of the lengthy onboarding and listing flows was a critical bottleneck that threatened deployment stability.
Architectural Approach
Postman Full-Flow Automation Suite
Engineered pre-request and post-request Postman scripts that automated the entire user lifecycle — renter creation, agent creation, property listing, interest simulation, and final report generation — replacing manual QA entirely.
TransUnion API Integration
Built the complete integration layer for automated credit and background checks, surfacing results in real time within the RentBase dashboard.
Reusable Component Library
Architected a modular React component system with TypeScript, ensuring UI consistency across complex flows like onboarding, listings, and reporting.
